Who We Are

A Global Platform for Obesity Medicine

The International Society of Obesity (ISO) is a collaborative scientific society that brings together clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and allied health professionals to address the complex, multifactorial challenge of obesity.

ISO fosters cross-disciplinary collaboration — uniting endocrinologists, bariatricians, dietitians, psychologists, and public health professionals under one global banner. We translate science into practice, practice into policy, and policy into lasting population impact, with our person first philosophy.

Incorporated in Montana, USA, with a founding leadership team led by internationally recognised clinicians, ISO is committed to elevating the standard of obesity care in every corner of the world.

The Barocene Era: Our World Is Facing an Obesity Crisis

Obesity is no longer a lifestyle issue — it is a complex, chronic, relapsing disease. The science demands that we treat it as one.
